We’re pleased to report that NAMC’s High School Manufacturing and Skilled Trades Career Expo, held on May 28, 2025, at the Hilton Boston/Woburn, was a tremendous success.
The event welcomed nearly 20 employers, training organizations, unions, and workforce development partners who came together to connect with local students and showcase the exciting opportunities available in manufacturing and the skilled trades. Their presence helped bring real-world career paths to life for students eager to explore their futures.
Nearly 150 students from eight schools across Greater Boston, the North Shore, and the Merrimack Valley attended the expo. They arrived curious, motivated, and ready to engage. Throughout the day, students had the chance to speak directly with industry professionals, learn about apprenticeship programs and training opportunities, and gain insight into the many career pathways the skilled trades have to offer.
A special highlight of the event was an engaging presentation by John Klesaris, a master plumber and business owner who shared his inspiring career journey and offered students valuable insights into the many career pathways available in the trades. The expo also served as a platform for building stronger connections between schools, employers, and community organizations.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated and supported the event. Their commitment to the future workforce made this day both impactful and inspiring.
