Instructor Training
NAMC is currently running several training programs each year focused on training Adult Learners interested in a career change and an opportunity to enter and grow within the expanding Manufacturing Industry in the Northeast of Massachusetts. Our training programs are conducted at local Vocational High Schools during the late afternoon and early evening time frame (typically 20 hours per week for about 20 weeks).
This is a great opportunity to give back to the next generation of Machinist as well as take on a very financially rewarding part time job. An outline of the program is below and If you would like additional information please call or email: Robin Dion, NAMC Consortium Manager
Three Key Elements within the Instructor Training Program
Timing of the Training
Monday Theme Nights — 4:00 to 8:00pm
Shadowing/Team Teaching — 4:00 to 8:00pm
Theme Night Workshops
- Curriculum Guide Overview and Tutorial
- Curriculum Guide Activity and Exercises
- CAD
- CAM for CNC Lathe
- Haas Lathe Set-Up & Operation
- CAM for CNC Mill
- Hass Mill Set-Up & Operation
Paid Training
Training is paid at $40 per hour
Once trained and certified, Instructors are paid at $70 per hour
Instructor Shadowing /Team Teaching
- Pace of moving from Shadowing to Team Teaching will be different for each individual
- Shadowing should evolve to Team Teaching as soon as practical

Teaching Adult Learners Certification
- It is required that each Instructor Trainee successfully complete this certification course. Click here to learn more. Once in this link you can select either the ‘Self- Paced—No Instructor Course’ or the ‘Instructor Driven 6 Week 24 hour Course’… whichever you feel most comfortable with.
- The cost for this training is $165, and will be reimbursed with proof of Certificate Award.
